Chroni ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Chroni mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Data Stored on Your Device
Chroni is designed with your privacy in mind. All financial data you enter — including income, expenses, budgets, savings goals, and transaction history — is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Your financial data remains on your device at all times. We do not have access to it, cannot view it, and do not collect it.
Third-Party Services
While your financial data stays local, the App uses the following third-party services that may collect certain data:
Google AdMob (Advertising)
For users on the free tier, the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect the following information:
• Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS) • IP address • Device information (model, operating system version, screen size) • App usage data related to ad interactions (impressions, clicks) • Approximate location (derived from IP address)
Google AdMob may use this data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your consent preferences. You can manage ad personalization through the consent dialog shown when you first use the App, and at any time through your device settings.

Sentry (Error & Crash Reporting)
The App uses Sentry for crash and error reporting to help us identify and fix issues. Sentry may collect:
• Device information (model, OS version, available memory) • App state at the time of a crash or error • Stack traces and error messages • Session data (app launch, foreground/background events)
Sentry does not collect any personally identifiable information. No financial data from the App is ever sent to Sentry.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, the App uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before any tracking occurs. You can change this permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Data Collection Summary
Financial data (income, expenses, budgets, savings): Stored locally on your device only. Never collected or transmitted.
Device identifiers: Collected by Google AdMob for advertising purposes, subject to your consent.
Crash data: Collected by Sentry for stability improvements. Contains no financial or personal information.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Your financial data is stored on your device for as long as you use the App. You can delete all data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in the Account screen.
Data collected by third-party services (AdMob and Sentry) is subject to their respective data retention policies.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
